Google says its June 2019 Core Algorithm Update is releasing later today

Algorithm Update

In a surprise announcement from Google, the search company said they are releasing a new update. This update will be a core search algorithm update named as the June 2019 Core Algorithm Update. Also, this will be the second core algorithm update from Google for this year. Prior to this, we saw the core algorithm update being announced in March 2019 which was named exactly the same, March 2019 Core Algorithm Update.

This announcement was made by Google on its Twitter page which goes by Google SearchLiason. This twitter account is meant to update users about anything regarding Google Search. According to IST, this tweet was made by Google’s account in the early hours of Monday. But we will see the update rolling out later tonight because the update will roll out according to PST.

As far as the update is concerned, we know nothing at the moment regarding its contents. Because Google generally does not reveal anything about its updates even after the update is released. It is left for the SEO Community to figure out what exactly the update was about.

Another interesting factor here is the outage faced by several Google products yesterday. It was widely believed that Google’s outage was due to the Google Core Algorithm Update. However, Google’s Danny Sullivan later clarified that it was not the case. He said that the outage was due to Google Cloud and it has nothing to do with Google update. Also, the update is not even rolled out so there is no relation between them.

Now, this is the first time that Google has pre-announced that it will release a core algorithm update. Thus, SEOs were naturally confused as to why this announcement was made. On this, Google’s Danny Sullivan said that “We just wanted to be more proactive. Rather than people scratching their heads after-the-fact and asking “hmm?” we thought it would be good to just let folks know before it rolled out.”
